Examining Issues of the American Health Care Act

Dr. Marshall Chin recently authored two pieces examining issues with the American Health Care Act (AHCA). For KevinMD.com, he expressed concerned regarding the AHCA and why he and organizations like SGIM oppose it:

?One reason so many clinicians and organizations such as SGIM oppose the AHCA is that we see the effect of poor access to quality health care on real people. In fact, seeing this pain and hardship, clinicians ultimately do whatever they can to care for these patients under less than ideal circumstances. We have no choice when we see people suffering. It is a moral imperative for us, as it should be for our society.?

And Dr. Chin answered questions regarding the costs of health care under the AHCA on Wallethub.com:

?The biggest problem with the AHCA is that it would hurt a lot of people, including people age 50-64, many working class individuals, the poor, rural residents, and people with chronic illnesses.?
