We are Hosting Weekly Farmer?s Market Tours at the 61st Street Farmer?s Market

If you are trying to eat right, especially with diabetes, you know it?s key to shop right. Join in on the tour and learn about the quick, healthy, and affordable fresh food choices available to you and your family at the local Farmer?s Market!

What?

A friendly and informative tour of the 61st Street Farmer?s Market. Learn tips on building a balanced meal with the fresh produce available at the 61st Street Farmer?s Market. We?ll tour the vendor booths with fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, dairy, and more. Our health educators will teach you how to portion meals on your plate, and set goals to help you and your family make healthy choices.

When?

The market is held every Saturday from May 17th through December 13th from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The tours are held every Saturday during the Farmer?s Market Season, directly following the cooking demonstration, beginning at 10:30 AM and lasting approximately 1 hour.

Where?

The tours are held at the 61st Street Farmer?s Market, beginning at the South Side Diabetes table.
