We are Hosting Weekly Grocery Store Tours at South Side Save-a-Lot Stores

If you are trying to eat right, especially with diabetes, you know it?s key to shop right. Join in on the tour and learn how to make quick, healthy, and affordable food choices the next time you grocery shop for you and your family!

What?

A friendly and informative tour of the Save-a-Lot Grocery store. Learn tips on keeping a balanced diet by shopping right. We?ll show you how to read nutrition labels, portion meals on your plate, and set goals to help you and your family make healthy choices.

When?

The tours are held on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Saturdays of the month, beginning at 10:00 AM and lasting approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Where?

The tours are held at four south side Save-a-Lot store locations:

1. 7908 S. Halsted St. (79th and Halsted) on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

2. 344 E. 63rd St. (63rd and King Drive) on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

3. 4701 S. Cottage Grove Ave. (47th and Cottage Grove) on the 4th Saturday of each month.

4. 10700 S. Halsted St. (107th and Halsted) on the 4th Saturday of each month. (With expanded exhibits including cooking and fitness demonstrations.)

You must register in advance in order to participate in the grocery store tour as spaces are limited.
