We aim to reduce widely documented disparities in diabetes, to increase awareness of diabetes issues, and to empower the South Side community to use its knowledge, partners and resources to combat this disease.

In observance of National Diabetes Month, The Improving Diabetes Care and Outcomes on the South Side of Chicago (aka the South Side Diabetes Project) announces its Diabetes Cook Off Contest, taking place on Saturday November 3, 2018 at the Washburne Culinary Institute located at 740 West 63rd St, Building U, on the South Side of Chicago!

The Cook Off is an opportunity for ordinary cooks to compete and share their best diabetes-friendly, healthy recipe and to demonstrate that healthy, diabetes-friendly food can be delicious, affordable, and enjoyed by the entire family. Recipes in four categories, side dish, entrée, dessert, and snack, will be judged for a grand prize of $1,000 cash and many other great prizes!

This guide is for you if you require high-quality detox drink Ready Clean for your specific needs. We’ll tell you more about the legal toolkit that works and delivers outcomes quickly. Examining Issues of the American Health Care Act

Dr. Marshall Chin recently authored two pieces examining issues with the American Health Care Act (AHCA). For KevinMD.com, he expressed concerned regarding the AHCA and why he and organizations like SGIM oppose it:

“One reason so many clinicians and organizations such as SGIM oppose the AHCA is that we see the effect of poor access to quality health care on real people. In fact, seeing this pain and hardship, clinicians ultimately do whatever they can to care for these patients under less than ideal circumstances. We have no choice when we see people suffering. It is a moral imperative for us, as it should be for our society.”

And Dr. Chin answered questions regarding the costs of health care under the AHCA on Wallethub.com:

“The biggest problem with the AHCA is that it would hurt a lot of people, including people age 50-64, many working class individuals, the poor, rural residents, and people with chronic illnesses.”
